1. Introduction to evidence-based risk
assessment
A free one-day workshop on the use of
instruments to predict violent and sexual
offences. Due
to sponsorship by the Welsh Assembly Government
we are delighted to be able to offer this
workshop free of charge to all those working
within institutions in Wales. However, places
are limited. The workshop will cover:

structured clinical, actuarial)

Advantages and disadvantages of each type of
assessment

Guidance for the interpretation of scores
and their use in risk management.

Open discussion about what each organisation
is doing at the moment re risk assessment
and risk management, their problems of
implementation and solutions developed.
